The 2008 "Teachers of the Year" gathered on June 9, 2008 at Fordham University Law School for an evening to honor their hard work and accomplishments in education. Pulitzer Prize-winning author and former public school teacher Frank McCourt once again served as the event's host, and several elected officials presented awards.
