Welcome to the Blackboard Awards 2010! For the ninth consecutive year, the publishers of Our Town, West Side Spirit and New York Family are highlighting a handful of schools, principals and teachers who are doing an amazing job at educating our city's kids. What started in 2002 as a short series focused on schools has grown to a include charters, technology awards and an entirely separate edition focused on teachers. We continued to grow, with the Blackboard Awards For Principals.
None of this would be possible without key input from the people on the front lines: teachers, principals, students and parents. That's why we've created a website that gives plenty of opportunities for visitor input. Know a fabulous teacher or principal? Nominate them for a Blackboard Award here.
